There exist at least two ways of tipping a Craps dealer.
A Hand-In.
Toss your chip(s) towards the dealer and say, "For the dealers."
Bet for the dealers.
You can toke the dealers by placing a wager for them. If the bet you have made for the dealer wins the dealer gets not only tips (the bet) but also the winning amount.
When to tip
It is up to the player to decide when to tip. The player can do it during the game as well as after it. Most dealers probably prefer that you tip as-you-go, because you might bust out and not have any money left at the end of your session to tip with, but this is not to your advantage, of course. The best way out for the payer is to make a bet or 2 bets during the game and then to hand in at the end of your session. If you tip at the beginning you can be sure that you will get the best service. Moreover it s not necessary to tip further.
Which bets to make for the dealers
Dealers appreciate any wager made on their behalf, but they greatly prefer bets that have a low house take, such as the Pass, Come, Don't Pass, and Don't Come.
Dealers cringe when players make bad bets for them, because such bets waste a good chunk of the tip.

When you bet outside you can give the dealer $40 and he places $10 bets on the four, five, nine and ten. The five/nine pay $14 (At 7:5) And the four/ten pay $18 (At 9:5) The combination of the four numbers will roll 14 times (In 36) compared to six times for the seven, giving you more than a 2:1 Advantage.
